Since mid-March the JET staff (Jetters) have been working from home, practicing social distancing as set out by the Government of Jamaica, in an attempt to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In this month’s blog we will be sharing with you some of the Jetters favourite beaches as we daydream and begin planning for those post COVID-19 beach trips. Before you plan your next beach trip, check out the Big Up Wi Beach Guide by clicking on the link Beaches

“The first time I visited Duncans Bay Beach in Trelawny in 2017 I was almost left dumbstruck. What a beautiful gem! - a serene and clean beach (thanks to the hard work of the Duncans Bay citizens) which is accessible to the public - a rare find in Jamaica nowadays.” ~ Suzanne Stanley, CEO

"My favourite beach is Silver Sands in Duncans, Trelawny. It has the perfect combination of amenities making it comfortable but not feel over developed. The sand and sea are beautiful, and it is an easy drive via the highway from Kingston." ~ Lauren Creary, Project Co-ordinator

Silver Sands, Trelawyn

“Frenchman’s Cove in Portland makes for a great day out with the family. From the icy cold meandering river with shallow depths for the children to play in and for those who are strong swimmers the slightly deeper areas where the current takes you to the sea. You also have those large waves to ride to shore.”~ Rockel Moodie, Office Manager

“A few years ago, my friends and I decided to travel around Jamaica and visit as many of our beaches as possible, still have many more to visit. One of my favourite beaches on the North Coast, has to be Laughing Waters. It was so quiet that you could hear the waterfall and the visibility in the water, still as glass, made for great snorkelling” ~ Keisha-Ann Down, Deputy CEO
